Kaspar Storch

Sales and Acquisition Manager

Kaspar has been engaged with our built environment since his childhood. From simple wooden houses in Upper Bavaria to early communes in what was then West Berlin, he has always maintained close contact with architects and project developers. He first completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter before studying architecture at the Technical University of Berlin, undertaking various internships, including one at Herzog & de Meuron in Basel and an international study at ETH Zurich. After earning his diploma, he worked for several architectural firms, completed a master's degree in historic preservation, and became a certified real estate specialist.
He worked as a project manager for international hotel projects at Matteo Thun in Milan and increasingly became involved with the real estate industry. He worked for various real estate agents and developers was head of sales for PROJECT Immobilien and continuously expanded his expertise. Most recently, he led the acquisitions department at Saxovent, a pioneer in climate protection and CO2 reduction with a strong focus on modular timber construction. Kaspar now lives in Berlin with his family, works as a passionate real estate appraiser, and is always available to offer support and advice to you and us.

Andero Laur

Chief Executive Officer

Andero has been involved in construction and project management since 2007. During this time he has developed over 100,000 m2 of buildings and designed more than 1000 apartments.

Andero is the kind of guy it is very difficult to truly butt heads with. Although discussions with him can sometimes get a little heated, he is rational and pragmatic by nature. His aim is to create long-term value that has an impact on people’s lifestyles and environment. He is bold enough to make big decisions and understands the long-term impact of activities.

Before founding Liven, Andero worked for 7 years at the international construction and property development company Skanska, where he started as a foreman on the construction site and ended up as a business manager on the management team.

He has a master’s degree in industrial and civil engineering from Tallinn University of Technology, and since the summer of 2022 he is studying AMDP (Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate) at Harvard University.

Oliver Orula

Development Project Manager

Oliver has been working in the field of construction and design since 2004. As a master’s degree recipient in industrial and civil engineering at Tallinn University of Technology, he started working as a construction designer and remained in this profession for ten years. Working as a designer, Oliver focused mainly on the design of wooden structures. Dozens of buildings have been constructed on the basis of his projects in Scandinavia, as well as in Germany, Italy and Spain. In addition to technical design work, Oliver has also held several leadership roles. He has directed various teams of engineers in businesses engaged in the design and production of wooden buildings, as well as in a real estate development company. For five years, he put himself to the test as CEO of a company engaged in the export of construction products, and he is not a stranger to sales work in the field of construction materials.
Family is of importance to Oliver with whom he spends most of his free time. On weekends, he enjoys spending time in nature and jogging in the woods in the evenings. Playing tennis with friends is also a source of pleasure for him.

He considers it important not to stay in the comfort zone, but to place himself in situations where he is forced to make an effort and learn something new.

Maximilian Künsberg

Project Developer

Maximilian Künsberg is responsible for our market in Germany as a Project Developer in our Berlin office. After completing his business studies at the University of St. Gallen, he obtained a Master's degree in Real Estate Management from the Technical University of Berlin.

Before joining Liven, Maximilian had already spent several years overseeing project developments and transactions at leading German real estate companies. Maximilian focuses on the integration of "aesthetic design" and sustainable construction methods, as well as knowledgeable, detailed, and transparent processes at all stages of project development.

Andres Aavik

New projects

Andres has been active in real estate development since 1997. Since then, he has developed a couple of thousand apartments, managed a number of detailed plans to their adoption and successfully completed 2 business cycles.

For Andres, family is all-important. Travelling helps him relax and appreciate the other things that are important in life. He believes that in order to survive in this rapidly developing world, you must learn and develop constantly. He works with the aim of improving both the people and the environment around him. With such an approach, what he does is not work as such…

Andres graduated from the Faculty of Construction Economics and Management at Tallinn Technical University in 1994. He then worked as the head of the Harmin Architectural Bureau and the real estate development company Maarjamäe Maja. Since 2001 he has held different positions in Skanska EMV – starting out as a project manager and working his way up to chairman of the board.

When planning projects Andres follows the principle that every apartment in a development project should be built so well that you would happily live there yourself.

Andreas Hinojosa

Junior Architect

Andreas helps Liven to create homes in Berlin

Currently, Andreas is studying architecture at the Estonian Academy of Arts, but he has been immersed in the world of architecture his entire life. The city is his comfort zone and mentor, where he feels most at home.

Fortunately, there are many cities in the world. Andreas has lived for months in Ecuador, studied in Santiago, and worked at an architecture firm in Lisbon. Although he was born in Tartu, he grew up in Tallinn. Today, with his multicultural background, Andreas helps Liven to create homes in Berlin.

Having experienced diverse ways of living, Andreas incorporates interesting and innovative details into his work. He values a carefully planned room layout, as well as emphasising the importance of cosiness and tranquillity, which allow individuals to be their authentic selves.

At Liven, Andreas strives to apply his ideas also outside of the square metres of the homes, incorporating nature as much as possible into his projects. This allows to create a dense living environment where strangers can become closer. Andreas can elaborate further on why this is important.

When Andreas gets bored of the urban environment, he takes detours into the wild, to then return to the city again.

Magnus Meldre

IT Product Manager

Magnus improves the Home Designer tool on a daily basis

Magnus has a deep passion for problems. Problems attract him like a magnet because he enjoys finding solutions, especially when technology can be utilised to address them. This interest led him to the construction industry, where the application of technology is still rather new but holds immense potential.

Magnus developed his very first website which gained worldwide attention when he was only 13 years old. He is also one of the founders of the popular Tallinn Agile Meetup event series in the IT community. After graduating from University of Tartu with a degree in software development, Magnus has worked for various successful technology companies.

During his free time, Magnus is drawn to Spanish culture, discovering the exciting French cuisine, monitoring the US stock markets, and reading history books. As a “corona refugee,” he relocated to the summer capital of Estonia, Pärnu, and is proudly promoting the city to everyone else as well.

Alina Kester

Creative Director

Alina is the creative director of Liven, that is, she does everything that engineers don’t

A person’s professional ability mostly consists of two things. What they learned in school and what they focus on in their free time. In Alina’s case these these two sides are almost controversial.

If, based on her educational background, she is a specialist with several master’s degrees, who feels equally at home in management, marketing and service design, she devotes her free time to an almost hippyish discovering of the world.

She is no stranger to Berlin’s nightlife and Sri Lanka’s surfing culture, ascetic hiking or Alliksaar’s poetry. She has mastered several disciplines, which is the foundation for being a creative director. Only if you have enough different Lego bricks, can you create something that has never been done before.

Alina has moved to more places in her life than all Liven’s people put together. It can be concluded that she is attracted by constant forward movement. As the only exception, she has been working at Liven since 2016. If you are reading this text, she does so to this day.

Mihkel Simson

Construction Manager / Partner

Mihkel has been soaking up experience in construction management in Estonia and Finland since 2006. His portfolio includes three apartment buildings, 70 apartments and even an airport. Mihkel is fascinated by the culture of South-East Asia and the contrasts of its big cities. For him the region is a source of inspiration and good ideas. He appreciates contemporary architecture and values brave solutions in interior design. During his free time he is often found on the golf course or tennis court honing both body and mind.Mihkel studied at Tallinn Technical University in the Faculty of Construction Economics and Management. After his second year of his studies there he joined Skanska during his summer work placement, which turned into an exciting and challenging work relationship that lasted more than eight years. During this time he participated in several interesting projects, such as the redesign of Tallinn Airport, the building of a wind park in Vanaküla and work on a sports and recreation centre in Helsinki. In recent years he has specialised in residential development and overseen the construction of three apartment buildings.

Mihkel likes the saying “What is measured improves”– Peter F. Drucker

Liven creates homes

Liven has operated as a residential real estate developer since 2014. Around 400 homes have been created during this time, and today nearly 1800 homes are currently in different stages of development.

We are different

We have carefully considered spatial programme, stylish interior and various choices for customer not only in design but in the apartment layouts as well.

Simplicity and focus

It is easy to deal with us because we are focused. Liven’s business is creating homes and making sure they are worthy of being called that. Everything else good in this world is the business of someone else.
